The Friends of the Sangudo Public Library Society is a volunteer-run organization that oversees the operational framework of the Sangudo Public Library.
The Friends of the Sangudo Public Library Society seeks to:
- promote awareness of the public library within the community
- foster community involvement in the library
- act as an advocate for the community’s library interests
- raise funds in support of the library and community
The Friends of the Sangudo Public Library Society has been contracted by the Lac Ste. Anne County Library Board to operate and manage the Sangudo Public Library and support its services within the community.
We ensure the smooth operation of the Library and work to create a welcoming, safe, comfortable, and user-friendly place for everyone who visits, fostering a vibrant community hub that supports learning, connection, and engagement.
Fundraising
We are dedicated to identifying needs within our community and raising funds to provide valuable services and programming that make a meaningful difference.
Our largest fundraiser of the year is our Annual Spring Garage Sale! This year’s sale will take place on May 15 & 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sangudo Arena.
We look forward to seeing you there and appreciate your continued support!
Engaging, Innovative Services
The Sangudo Public Library is more than just books! We’re a vibrant community hub offering creative and practical services that go beyond traditional borrowing. From community gardens and seed libraries to Libraries of Things that lend tools and other useful items, we push the boundaries of what a library can be because connecting, sharing, and learning together is at the heart of what we do.
Community Collaboration
Collaboration with other organizations in the community is one of our priorities.
